We don't publish one-size-fits-all rates because no two patios price the same — size, pattern, color work, and site prep all move the number. What we can tell you is that almost every project we pour in Mahoning, Trumbull, and Mercer counties falls into one of three tiers:
- Basic: single color, single pattern (ashlar slate, running bond), broom-finish borders.
- Mid-range: integral color plus antiquing release, decorative saw-cut borders, one accent band.
- Premium: multi-color staining, custom stamps (wood-plank, cobblestone, cut stone), stamped borders, sealed with premium acrylic.

How patio size changes the cost
The most-asked question we get is about a specific size — a 16x20 or 20x20 patio. Here's the honest answer: bigger patios cost more in total but less per square foot. Mobilization, forming, and finishing time are largely fixed whether we pour 100 square feet or 750, so small patios carry a higher effective rate.
- Under 200 sq ft: highest per-foot cost — the fixed setup time is spread over a small area.
- 300–400 sq ft: the sweet spot for most back-yard patios — enough area for the per-foot cost to settle down.
- 600+ sq ft: best per-foot value, and where curves, banded borders, and outdoor kitchens start to make sense.

Stamped concrete vs. plain concrete vs. pavers
Stamped concrete costs more up front than a broom finish but meaningfully less than pavers or flagstone — and it typically outlasts pavers with a fraction of the upkeep.

What actually drives the price
- Square footage. Bigger pours are cheaper per square foot — mobilization and finishing time are largely fixed.
- Pattern & color layers. One color and one stamp is the value tier. Every added stain, release color, or accent band adds labor.
- Site prep. Removing an old slab, correcting grade, or building up 4–6" of compacted #57 gravel base changes the number.
- Thickness & reinforcement. A patio is typically 4"; a driveway is 5–6" with rebar or fiber mesh.
- Sealer. Basic acrylic is included; premium high-solids sealer with anti-slip additive is a small per-foot upgrade.
